SSE International Business Students Win World Economic Forum Case Competition
Prominent global leaders watched and judged the finals, and afterwards Dominic Barton, Global Managing Partner of McKinsey and Company, praised the SSE team for their “very sound and comprehensive analysis.
The team consists of Chris Royle from Canada, Anja Huber and Johannes Meder from Germany, and Karin Bratt from Sweden, all students in the Masters in International Business program launched this year at SSE.
The competition required student teams to apply 12 of the most widely disclosed and tracked sustainability indicators and challenged the teams to identify and prioritize social, environmental and governance metrics for Suncor, this year’s case company.
In winning the finals, the SSE team overcame strong performances by two teams from US MBA schools.
"We are thrilled to have presented our recommendations in front of such a prestigious panel, especially being able to contribute to the long-term strategic issues that face all business leaders. The WEF was an eye-opening experience and we are thankful for the opportunity to have attended."
