SSE creates professorship of sustainable markets
“We’re pleased to establish The Mistra Chair of Sustainable Markets. The Chair is part of our efforts to incorporate approaches to sustainability in our programs,” says Professor Lars Strannegård, President of Stockholm School of Economics.
Misum was recently founded as a center at Stockholm School of Economics thanks to funding by the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Environmental Research (Mistra). The purpose of Misum is to stimulate world-class interdisciplinary research on sustainable markets and thereby strengthen Sweden’s competitiveness. Misum shall serve as a platform and community for researchers and practitioners in companies and organizations in Sweden and internationally.
With a brief that extends beyond traditional research, Misum will also generate concrete solutions and processes to contribute directly to sustainable economic development. The Center’s brief includes providing expert advice to politicians and other decision makers as well as collaborating with other research centers in Sweden and elsewhere.
Lin Lerpold, Executive Director of Misum, has been appointed acting professor until a permanent professor is installed. She will continue working as Executive Director of Misum while serving as acting professor.
Misum has an international board with members from the academic world and business. More information about the board.
