Viktoria Lyttkens and Philip Leiser are two SSE students whose bachelor thesis in Accounting and Financial Management has attracted media’s attention. In their study, they find that personal-owned companies provide an excess return in comparison with companies where a person is not a major stockholder, as well as the fact that founder-owned companies provide an excess return in comparison with companies not owned by a founder.
