Ing-Marie Bergqvist
Ing-Marie Bergqvist has been at Directa since 2012 as Organizational Consultant and Executive Coach. For almost thirty years, she has worked as Manager and Project Manager within Marketing and Communication at Posten and Holmen Hygiene. The insight that fancy plans for change only amount to a bunch of paper, if employees are not engaged, inspired her to enroll in a four-year Organization and Leadership program at the Gestalt Academy in Scandinavia, from which she graduated in 2014.
My best memory from SSE is when I attended a course by Anders Risling called Människan i organisationen (“The human in the organization”). The course focused on the perspective of people instead of numbers. It was completely experiential, and we sat in a circle and practiced giving feedback directly to each person in the group.
Ing-Marie was elected to the Board in 2015 and works primarily with the mentor program.
“I’m on the Board because I want to participate in developing the SSE Alumni Club so that even more people discover the benefits of being a member. On the Mentorship Committee, I can work on what I am passionate about – to make people grow, both privately and professionally."
“Being a member of the SSE Alumni Club is a great way to keep in touch with the school and meet old classmates. I get to listen to interesting presentations, eat good food and sing snaps-drinking songs – just like during my time as a student. There is a wonderful fellowship and pride among those of us who have studied at SSE. It also gives me the opportunity to be a mentor for a young person who is at the beginning of his/her career, which is at least as stimulating for me as it is for my mentee."
What was the best thing you learned during your time at SSE?
“The most important thing I learned during my time at SSE is how important successful group collaboration is for the end result."
