Sara Ottosson
Sara Ottosson works as Outreach Manager at The Swedish House of Finance. She has 15 years of experience in banking and finance, in various roles in sales and advisory, as well as marketing and communication. In recent years, she has worked as an financial advisor within Carnegie Private Banking, where she helped individuals and small corporations with investments and portfolio recommendations.
Previously, Sara was Head of Marketing and Communications for Carnegie Structured Finance. Before that, Sara worked at Nordea Markets with structured products. Sara is a graduate of economics at Stockholm School of Economics, with a focus on marketing, organization and leadership. Sara moved to New York directly after studying, and worked for two years at the Swedish Chamber of Commerce with marketing strategies for Swedish companies that wanted to establish themselves in the US market.
As a student at SSE, Sara was intensely involved in the SSE Student Association, spanning from Member of the Program Committee, Board member of The Nobel Night Cap Committee as well as Lead Actress in the Student Farce 1998, 1999, 2000. Her best memories from the Student Association are from all the late nights working and partying down in the basement of SSE. “Some of my closest friends today I got to know during this time – they are the best gift given to me from SSE”.
Why did you want to be on the Board of the SSE Alumni Club?
“For me the answer if I wanted to join SSE Alumni Club Board was a given YES, it is my chance to pay it back to the School, both to current students and Alumni, who have given me so much during the years.” Sara was elected to the SSE Alumni Club in 2018. She is involved in the Program Comittee as well as the Communications Committee.
