Art Initative and Art Division have been invited by Coulisse Gallery to meet one of the artists currently exhibited at the gallery, Ferdinand Evaldsson. Join us on February 11, at 17.00 and see the exhibition and the gallery's new venue on Gävlegatan 10B.
Echo is a duo exhibition featuring Ferdinand Evaldsson (b.1988, Sweden) and Nina Silverberg (b. 1994, Italy).
"The echo of footsteps, voices, and whispers floats through architectural spaces. Broadly speaking, Ferdinand Evaldsson and Nina Silverberg explore the human condition—fragile, nostalgic, but also hopeful and quietly optimistic. The experience of being human resides not only in our physical bodies but also in the ‘thingness’ of life: our architecture, natural surroundings, the rain, the moths, and books."
Ferdinand Evaldsson (b. 1988, Sweden), lives and works in Stockholm. He graduated from Konstfack University of Arts, Stockholm, Sweden with an MFA in 2020. An icon painter by training, Evaldsson works with wood, metal, pigment, and gelatine. Evaldsson creates wood reliefs that draw their symbolism from memories and their palette from the tradition of icon painting.
