Entrepreneurship Ecosystems - old wine in new bottles? - 18 Nov 2019
The variety of actors, networks and available resources behind economic and social development in society is sometimes referred to as the Ecosystem of Entrepreneurship. What is this phenomenon?
This seminar presented the history behind the ecosystem approach and what is new compared to the traditional regional development research, as well as the implications of the entrepreneurial ecosystems approach. Recent studies suggest that these systems are different compared to e.g. clusters, local districts and innovation milieux.
One of the main differences proposed is that entrepreneurial ecosystems encompass the presence and support of smaller and younger businesses compared to their counterparts mentioned above.
This seminar was organised by House of Innovation and took place on 18 November 2019.
