Open Innovation: How to leverage external knowledge and the wisdom of the crowd - 18 Nov 2021
DATE: NOVEMBER 18th, 2021
TIME: 12:00 - 12:30 CET
On November 18th, we welcomed Assistant Professor Kathrin Reinsberger in presenting an industry seminar about crowdsourcing and how it builds on the insights that knowledge is broadly distributed in society, and that capitalizing on the “wisdom of crowds” can be effective and efficient.
Her presentation keynote aimed to bridge the gap between managerial decisions and their effects investigated in empirical studies within the question on "how to best leverage the wisdom of the crowd in Open Innovation”. Evidence shows that the success of crowdsourcing tournaments is contingent on its design, such as the scope of the problem addressed, the incentive structure, or the architecture of the platform.
Kathrin is an Assistant Professor (tenure track) at the House of Innovation at the Stockholm School of Economics. She is an economist by training, holding a Ph.D. in Innovation and Technology Management from the University of Graz. Her research interest lies in the intersection of the fields of innovation, technology, and strategy.
This webinar was organized jointly by SSE Executive Education and the House of Innovation.
