Industry event | She's the one: Gender diversity on corporate boards - 25 Mar 2025
Less than a third of the board members of EU’s largest companies are women. To tackle this gap, the European Commission decided to introduce gender quotas that all publicly listed firms in the EU must comply with by 2026.
In Sweden, 36% of the board members of publicly listed companies are women. While Swedish firms will likely be able to comply with the new regulations, Swedish boards are still far from gender parity. In addition, only 10% of board chairpersons are women, which suggests women may be even more underrepresented in highly influential board positions.
How can Swedish firms improve gender diversity on boards and better support female board members? To explore this, we will begin with a brief summary of the latest research insights, presented by House of Innovation's Assistant Professor Roxana Turturea, followed by a panel discussion where distinguished female board members in Sweden will share their experiences and perspectives.
The event will be followed by an informal mingle. Please register here to secure your seat.
