Since 2006, the magazine Fokus has given an annual award – “Swede of the year” – in different categories to Swedes who have contributed to society. This year, the recipients of the award in Economics are the writers behind the blog Ekonomistas, one of whom is SITE Associate Professor Jesper Roine.

This year’s Nobel Laureate in Economics Sciences, Richard H. Thaler visited SSE today Tuesday, December 12.

The financial sector has a crucial role to play in shifting capital allocation towards investments consistent with the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Climate Agreement. The direction set in recent years has been positive, but we need to continue raising the bar and level of ambition in sustainable finance, both in developed economies and in rapidly growing emerging markets.
