Former President of Croatia Discussed Global Leadership at SSE

Yesterday evening, the Center for Sports and Business at SSE arranged a lecture with Croatia's former President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic. She spoke about global leadership and her experiences from the International Olympic Committee, politics, and NATO. It was an exciting evening for the over 280 persons in the audience at the Aula at SSE.

SASSE President is handing over her role

To the students currently enrolled at SSE, or to the students who have been enrolled a couple of years, it might appear that the President of the Student Association (SASSE) has almost always, besides for a couple of exceptions, been a woman. Since 2017, four out of five SASSE Presidents have been female. And this December, yet another woman was elected to carry the utmost responsibility of this association consisting of 2,000 members with an annual turnover of 15 MSEK, writes SASSE President Tindra Hedlund.

Securing women’s safety at the time of war

On this year's International Women's Day we would like to draw attention to the women impacted by the invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation. Evidence from other armed conflicts suggests that women are particularly vulnerable both at the site of the war and in displacement, and that gender-based violence heightens in conflict and post-conflict societies. With this in mind, the international community should pay particular attention to protection, support and well-being of affected women in this tragic time.
