European collaboration success for CIVICA

In June, 40 undergraduate students from CIVICA members Sciences Po, Bocconi University, The London School of Economics (LSE) and the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE), together with Swedish high-school students, took part in the first edition of the CIVICA European Week. The four-day program is a central element of the CIVICA Engage Track, and this very first edition was hosted by SSE. Several of the participating students have given their thoughts on how it was to cooperate with peers from other countries in the all-online event.

Grant to Kristina Tamm Hallström

Kristina Tamm Hallström (DMO) has been granted 1.226.500 SEK from the Swedish Retail and Wholesale Council (Handelsrådet) for the project “What can be learn from the 100-year-olds?”, to be run in 2022 and 2023, together with Ingrid Gustafsson (Score) and Sofia Wiberg (Urban and Regional Studies, KTH).

The "Grosshandelssocietet Grant to Especially Dedicated Entrepreneurs" of 100.000 SEK to an entrepreneur at SSE Business Lab is part of the collaboration between Grosshandelssociteten and the Stockholm School of Economics, where entrepreneurs at SSE Business Lab annually are chosen for the award. The collaboration has now become an official partnership with SSE Business Lab where the goal is to encourage and support entrepreneurship in Stockholm even further.

Wallenberg Fellows have started their internships

We are excited to announce that as of this moment our 7th Wallenberg Fellows cohort are placed in excellent and substantive internships for the summer of 2021. David Huber will work at the International Finance Corporation (IFC) as a research Analyst Intern in the TMT, Disruptive Tech, PE&VC Funds Unit, Thomas Atherton at GEF Capital Partners as a Summer Associate, and Basak Edizgil at Limiar Capital as an analysts intern.
