Why does demand suddenly spike and drop in supply chains? Researchers have identified a range of factors contributing to this, known as the bullwhip effect. Their study, published in Management Research Review, systematically categorizes these causes to help businesses better understand and mitigate the problem.

Roberto Verganti, professor and thought leader in leadership and innovation, will be awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Vaasa during their conferment ceremony in September 2024. Conferment of an honorary doctorate is the highest honor that a university can award. This prestigious recognition underscores Verganti's pioneering contributions to the field of innovation and his impactful collaboration with the academic and business communities.

Swedbank, the Savings Banks in Sweden, and the Center for Wellbeing, Welfare and Happiness at the Stockholm School of Economics are joining forces to enhance understanding of what builds wellbeing and to establish new, more human perspectives on economics.
