Financial Literacy highlighted during the CIVICA European Week

Dr. Thomas Lavelle is a member of the faculty at SSE and teaches courses in management and academic communication, academic and creative writing and pedagogy. Given his pedagogical interest and his interest in the interface between language and learning, he has been involved in different types of international programs and projects previously. He is attracted to both aspects of the CIVICA alliance—educational cooperation across borders and locally grounded social engagement. He is now a part of the team organizing the first European Week in June.
Heavyweights in SSE Business Lab’s new Board of Admissions

The startup incubator of the Stockholm School of Economics, SSE Business Lab, is today announcing its new Board of Admissions, with a list of highly impressive people. Together the board, with names such as Sebastian Knutsson, Lisa Lindström and Sven Hagströmer, will decide which companies are accepted into the incubator.
Sweden's most climate-smart students at SSE

For the third year in a row, the student bookstore Campusbokhandeln hands out the award and scholarship "Sweden's most climate-smart students" and the winners of 2021 are a duo from the Stockholm School of Economics. Together, Cecilia Nyquist and Elias Höckerfelt have started the climate organization SSCA, which among other things influenced SSE to adapt to the 1.5-degree goal and include more climate and sustainability in the courses.
Project in Singapore receives the Gun and Einar Larsson Scholarship

Anna Dreber Almenberg elected as Member of the Academy

Good news from the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences (Kungliga Vetenskapsakademien): Anna Dreber Almenberg has been elected as a Member of the Academy’s class for social sciences. Anna is a professor of economics at the Stockholm School of Economics.

Associate Professor Martina Björkman Nyqvist has been awarded the SSE Corporate Partner Research Award 2020 for her groundbreaking work in development economics. Marie Ehrling, Chairman of Securitas, presented the award, which amounts to 100,000 SEK.

6 million SEK to research on artificial intelligence

Professor Per Andersson at the Stockholm School of Economics has been granted 6 million SEK in funding by the Marianne and Marcus Wallenberg Foundation for a three-year research project on AI. The project will create a platform for developing knowledge about key challenges in the implementation of new AI solutions.
Robert Östling appointed professor

Robert Östling has been appointed Professor of Economics at the Stockholm School of Economics. His main interest lies in the fields of applied microeconomics and behavioral economics.
