CIVICA – The European University of Social Sciences has received funding to strengthen its research dimension from the EU’s programme Horizon 2020, under the chapter “Science with and for Society.”

The COVID-19 pandemic does not stop the fight for LGBTQ rights. This year’s Stockholm Pride will instead be broadcast live digitally under the name Stockholm Pride Summer Stream. As usual, several of Stockholm’s higher education institutions are participating under the joint Academic Pride banner, which this year brings together both students and employees from seven higher education institutions.

On 16 June 2020, the European Commission updated the status of The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from “associated partner” to “full member” of CIVICA – The European University of Social Sciences, following a request submitted by the alliance.

Stockholm School of Economics ranks number 19 in the Financial Times Masters in Finance ranking. SSE continues as the top school in the Nordic region and currently ranks 15 in Europe.

Diversity is the common thread, as seven teams today start SSE Business Lab’s acceleration program Activate. Over 85 percent of the admitted teams have both male and female co-founders.

For the tenth consecutive year the Global Swede Award ceremony was arranged by the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs in collaboration with Swedish Institute, SI. It was the first digitally arranged ceremony. Quyen Nguyen, currently a master student at the Business and Management program of Stockholm School of Economics, was one of 19 students to be awarded.

The Stockholm School of Economics has joined the Global Network for Advanced Management. SSE becomes the 32nd school in the network, and the first in Scandinavia.
