Students from SSE won the Swedish Championships in Business and Economics

The Swedish Championships in Business and Economics took place in May and we are happy to announce that Stockholm School of Economics are the winners. Simon Engdahl, Axel Hellbom Almström and Rasmus Salén who all study Business and Economics formed the winning team.

BSc student represents SSE at the CIVICA dissemination conference

On June 3 CIVICA will host an online dissemination conference where policymakers, theorists, practitioners, and students will come together to reflect on the impact of the digital transformation on the present and future of universities. One of the panelists is Hilda Hardell who is a third-year BSc student at SSE, the only student participating live along with professors and presidents from the fellow universities.

Donations from UK alumni are increasing

The UK Friends of SSE is a charitable organization based in the UK, which works closely with the Stockholm School of Economics to provide opportunities to engage and support the alumni network in the UK. Since its inception in 2018, the UK Friends of SSE has received a generous amount of charitable donations from the alumni in the UK, which were granted to support SSE.

Diversity and sustainability are high priorities at the SSE Business Lab

SSE Business Lab is the start-up incubator of the Stockholm School of Economics, open to all current and former students as well as faculty of SSE, who have founded a business. Diversity and sustainability at the top of the Agenda of the SSE Business Lab and since over two years both are requirement for being a part of their incubator program. It’s also two of the core values for the CIVICA network, and the SSE Business Lab contributes to strengthening these values.

SSE ranks highest in annual internationalization index

For the sixth year in a row, the Stockholm School of Economics tops the list of Sweden’s most international universities in the Swedish Foundation for International Cooperation in Research and Higher Education’s (STINT) annual Internationalization Index. It’s also positive news for Sweden that one more university was awarded five star this year than in 2020.

Students at SSE learn from history

How can history help policymakers and business leaders make better decisions? This is the key question in a new course in Applied History at the Stockholm School of Economics. The 7.5 ECTS course is given for the second consecutive year and the number of applications from the school’s bachelor students has been very high.

SSE is establishing a new professorship in educational organization and leadership

09 April 2021
The Stockholm School of Economics is establishing a new professorship in organization and leadership of schools and in education. The new professorship is made possible by a donation from The Hans and Barbara Bergstrom Foundation and will be held by Professor Karl Wennberg. The donation amounts to SEK 60 million over a ten-year period and is presented on Barbara Bergström’s 75th birthday on 9 April.
