The Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) is establishing a new professorship in Finance, the Katarina Martinson Chair in Finance, to be held by Professor Mariassunta Giannetti. The new chair is made possible by a donation from Katarina Martinson, thereby ensuring that Sweden and SSE keeps one of the leading professors in financial research.

Family enterprises are the most common business form in the world – not least in the Nordics. They are also important drivers in entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainability. The newly launched Center for Family Enterprise (CFE) at the Stockholm School of Economics will study the impact and organization of family enterprises in the Nordics.

CIVICA – The European University of Social Sciences is one of the sixteen European university alliances to receive continued support from the 2022-2027 Erasmus+ programme, as the European Commission announced today.

Next semester, the Center for Statecraft and Strategic Communication at the Stockholm School of Economics welcomes three postdoctoral fellows and one PhD fellow. SSE Executive Education is climbing Financial Times’ prestigious rankings and is now in tenth place in the world for open programs. For the 22nd year running SSE Executive Education continues to top the Nordic and Baltic rankings.  

Earmarked projects receive lower peer-review scores than non-earmarked projects, but do not consistently underperform in terms of tangible outputs like patents and publications. This, according to new research from the Stockholm School of Economics, the WHO Otto Beisheim School of Management, and the University of Groningen.
