The course explores the significance of historical knowledge in understanding contemporary global issues, offering students a valuable opportunity to travel to Cambridge, London, and Washington, gaining a firsthand perspective on the global dynamics and historical contexts that shape our world today.

The deadline for applications is November 20th. 

Applied History is designed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of major challenges in the twenty-first century through historical analysis. The course emphasizes the application of historical perspectives to stimulate critical thinking, research skills, and analysis of contemporary policy issues.

In the spring term of 2025, twelve students from the Stockholm School of Economics will travel to Centre for Geopolitics, Centre for Grand Strategy King's College London, and the Henry A. Kissinger Center for Global Affairs Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) to learn about the past from leading historians.
