CWWH in collaboration with Stockholm for Wellbeing and Happiness

We are proud to announce that we are teaming up with Stockholm Business Region, Region Stockholm, the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, Norrsken Foundation, and the Swedish Institute in an initiative to develop our fantastic hometown and capital Stockholm.

The initiative, #Stockholmsidentiteten, aims to highlight Stockholm’s strengths as a city and launch a number of research activities and interventions to develop Stockholm in a positive direction.

The Center for Wellbeing, Welfare and Happiness (CWWH) at the Stockholm School of Economics is contributing to #Stockholmsidentiteten with research and knowledge focused on increasing long-term wellbeing and happiness. The aim is to inform and support activities that can contribute to meaningful, measurable development for individuals, communities, businesses, and society at large.

“Improving wellbeing and happiness is a collective effort. When people across society – from citizens and civil society to business and academia – work in the same direction, we can help support greater wellbeing and welfare for more people,” says Micael Dahlen, Professor and Director of the Center for Wellbeing, Welfare and Happiness at the Stockholm School of Economics.

Stockholm is already known for its openness, creativity, and forward-thinking spirit. We’re excited to be part of an effort that continues to develop and build on those qualities – with wellbeing and happiness at the heart of it.
