The transition of the energy system in Sweden faces critical challenges with energy conservation, the aging production facilities in electricity system, in transport and bioenergy. The consumers’ choices and the industry’s long-term development presents additional challenges to the energy system and require major transition and investments for transformative changes that are required for sustainable development. For this project we are looking for a post-doctoral candidate with a PhD in energy and resource economics with a focus on Sweden and EU. Knowledge of the international simulation models for the electricity system, like Markal and Apollo etc. will be an advantage.

Initial employment is for a year with full time (100%) post-doc position, with the possibility of an extension for another year. We would prefer the selected candidate to start as soon as possible.
