The near future was described as a “perfect storm”, in which inflation, unemployment, rising energy prices, economic recession, technological evolution and many other factors come together, making it much harder for these businesses to operate effectively and remain profitable. According to recent developments and Clas Ohlson's own predictions, certain business models will take more severe hits than others, and competition in the following years will be significantly more intense than earlier, but she states that the company still has the means to endure these periods.
