Workshop on e-commerce issues at ICA Gruppen
The students in the ICA retail club met with Daniel Filipsson, Business Analyst at ICA Gruppen. Daniel started off with a brief introduction of the organization and also explained issues regarding the recent decline in e-commerce for the company compared to the overall market and their main competitors; Willys, Coop and Mathem.
The students then split into teams and had to identify 2-3 main areas of concern and structure what solutions they propose ICA's online management should implement. Solutions were then presented through powerpoint in front of the other students as well as employees within ICA's online and analytical departments. The theme and common denominator among the students' ideas was centralization, price and a seamless experience for the customers.
