Planning and Control of assortment with H&M

The retail management students in H&M Retail Club got insights on how H&M steer the planning and control of their global assortment from their Head Office in Stockholm.

In this workshop, students got hands-on experience on how to manage centralized decision-making regarding planning and control of global merchandise. The session kicked off with Sofia Segerfors, Senior Business Controller, and Shifaaz Pallikal, Business Controller, providing an insightful workshop focused around planning and control of assortments across various regions and countries.

Students were then divided into groups and assigned to provide a regional buying strategy. At the end of the session, each group got the opportunity to present and discuss their findings with the rest of the students and H&M representatives.  

Students gained a lot of insights and left the workshop with new perspectives. Thank you Emma Hüll, Early Careers Partner at H&M Group, for arranging and thank you to Sofia and Shifaaz for a very interesting and well organized workshop!
