Brand Recognition and Word-of-Mouth Strategies at Elbilsvaruhuset

Retail Management students in E-commerce Retail Club had a workshop with Elbilsvaruhuset, one of Sweden's largest e-commerce for EV chargers.

During the workshop Retail Management Alumni Filip Sernhede (CEO & Co-founder), and Jesper Lundegårdh (CFO), both of whom have successful careers in e-commerce after graduating from SSE, shared their experiences and lessons from working with Elbilsvaruhuset. Their stories offered students a motivating look into potential career paths and the realities of the industry.

The workshop began with an introduction into the industry and company, after which students were divided into groups to address a case study focused on enhancing brand recognition and word-of-mouth for Elbilsvaruhuset in a cost-effective way. Each group presented strategies focused on improving brand recall while considering the unique challenges when implementing these into Elbilsvaruhuset's business model, where the customer touchpoints are primarily with independent installers rather than direct company employees.

After each team presented their ideas, Filip and Jesper provided detailed, constructive feedback, allowing students to refine their critical thinking and strategic planning skills. The workshop was an inspiring and informative experience, and we would again like to thank Filip and Jesper for sharing their insights and expertise.
