The Path to Reducing Climate Impact with Systembolaget
Fredrik Arenander, Head of Purchasing, and Linda Johansson, Head of Sustainability, hosted a workshop focused on Systembolaget's purchasing process and its ongoing Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) project. In groups, students were tasked with developing ideas on how Systembolaget can effectively communicate PCF data to consumers.
Student ideas centered on making PCF information more accessible and relatable, with the aim of encouraging more sustainable consumer choices. Suggestions included comparing emissions to everyday activities, organizing the product assortment based on PCF, implementing a sustainability scoring system, and using emotionally engaging advertising – all of which were aligned with the SHIFT framework.
