Rally for SSE! − a 24-Hour Giving Day

The Stockholm School of Economics announces Rally for SSE! - a 24-hour giving day which will take place from September 30 to October 1. SSE aims to raise 1 MSEK from alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends to support entrepreneurship at SSE.

As higher education remains increasingly competitive throughout the world, SSE seeks to engage supporters to continue to attract premium students, recruit world-class professors and produce high-quality research. This is especially important because SSE is a private university and depends on non-public funding sources.

Starting at 18.00 on September 30 and ending at 18.00 on October 1, SSE alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends are encouraged to visit hhs.se/rallyforsse to make a financial contribution using our FundedByMe online platform. All donations received will be calculated in real-time and will be shown on the Leader Board. Additionally, prizes will be given throughout the campaign and are sponsored by companies such as IKEA, SAS Airlines, H&M, Åhléns, Electrolux and more.

As part of the effort to raise awareness about Rally for SSE! and the importance of giving back, SSE will release a series of videos over the next several months featuring SSE alumni such as Peter Forsberg, Nicole Nordin, Anna Kinberg Batra and Niklas Adalberth.

Rally for SSE! will end at 18.00 on October 1 and the total amount raised will be announced at SSE’s annual alumni Homecoming event the same night.

OUR PRESIDENT GETS READY FOR RALLY FOR SSE!

Entrepreneurship at SSE
SSE remains committed to preparing students for careers in business and society at large and also seeks to expand its education and research in entrepreneurship.

“Entrepreneurship is an important area where SSE alumni and students can take the skills and knowledge they gained at SSE and develop innovative strategies to meet some of the world’s most pressing challenges,” said SSE President Lars Strannegård.

Evidence of SSE’s focus on entrepreneurship includes the recent hiring of outstanding researchers that specialize in entrepreneurship, as well as the SSE Business Lab, the business incubator credited for supporting Klarna, Sweden’s most successful online payment processing platform. All funds raised during Rally for SSE! will be divided among three projects that will continue to develop SSE’s entrepreneurial focus.
