SSE MBA Executive Format 2016

January 25 marked the first stage of an 18-month journey for a new cohort of MBA students at the Stockholm School of Economics. These 49 participants are enrolled in the SSE MBA Executive Format 2016 program, an intense learning experience that prepares participants to build, lead and improve organizations.

The program is designed for working professionals, who with the support of their employers work full-time while pursuing their degrees.

This year’s participants come from a broad range of industries, arrive with training in a range of academic fields and diverse cultural backgrounds.

“This is a great foundation for rich discussions and learning from each other, one of our educational cornerstones”, says Karin Wiström, Director SSE MBA.

Of those entering the program this year, 29% are female, 33% come from outside Sweden and 22% work abroad. The average age is 39.

“The experience in this group is very impressive, so together with the entire SSE MBA team, I look forward to working with them over the next 18 months”, adds Wiström.

All participants carry out a series of live projects in organizations of their choice. These are projects that create positive change and measurable value for the participating organizations.

“I am expecting rewarding program weeks, with a lot of interaction and networking. The work done during this program will be of direct benefit to my organization and my personal development”, says Hooman Javvi, Head of Marketing, Sales and Orders at ABB Figeholm and one of this year’s participants.

Organizations represented in the group include, for example, ABB, Alecta, Business Sweden, DeLaval, Ericsson, Gullspång, NCC, Nordea, Region Östergötland, SJ, Swedbank, Swedish Armed Forces and Södra.
