SSE HOLDS TWO POSITIONS ON SUSTAINABILITY SWEDEN’S RANKING OF 101 MOST INFLUENTIAL INDIVIDUALS

Our President, Lars Strannegård, and Lin Lerpold, Executive Director of the Mistra Center for Sustainable Markets (MISUM), both feature on Swedish sustainability and CSR news site Aktuell Hållbarhet’s ranking of Sweden’s 101 most influential individuals in the field of sustainability.

Our research contributes directly to education and producing the leaders of the future. So it’s particularly exciting to get such a positive response to our contribution towards promoting sustainability,” commented Lars Strannegård.

Reason: During the three years that Lars Strannegård has been President of the Stockholm School of Economics, he has implemented several major and significant changes linked to sustainability. In partnership with Mistra, SSE has established a center for sustainable markets and created a new professorship in this area. They have also launched the Sustainable Financial Systems research program. Last but not least, the ‘Global challenges’ initiative has been launched as part of the extensive undergraduate program.

Reason: SSE’s new knowledge center is experiencing rapid development. MISUM’s director, Lin Lerpold, is also making an important contribution through her concerted efforts to ensure that sustainability is regarded as a natural element of teaching at SSE.
