This year's best Global Challenges project
The student project AI Challenge won the award “Best Global Challenges Project of the Year”. By launching the online course "The elements of AI" and creating the #aichallenge, the first step towards the goal of educating 1% of Sweden's population in AI has been taken. 27 of the School's partner companies have already accepted the challenge and allowed their employees to take the course.
At the end of May, our Global Challenges students presented their final projects: sustainable solutions that contribute to the global goals. The student project AI Challenge won the award “Best Global Challenges Project of the Year”. By launching the online course "The elements of AI" and creating the #ai challenge, the first step towards the goal of educating 1% of Sweden's population in AI has been taken. 27 of the School's partner companies have already accepted the challenge and allowed their employees to take the course.
- Winning is incredibly fun and we are proud that our hard work in the project paid off. But in the end, the biggest gain is the feeling that we have actually made a difference and helped to change society in a good way, says Olivia Lemmel, one of the students behind the AI challenge.
A total of 42 projects were presented at the Global Challenge Expo, the audience's prize was also distributed, and winners in this category were The SF (A) I Revolution: a project that examines the potential impact of introducing AI in SFI (Swedish for immigrant courses). Other diplomas were awarded: SF (A) I Revolution also won the honorary award for “The global sustainability goals and multiple risks”. An honorary award for best project in the category “social challenges” went to the Tobiasregistret project and honorary awards for best projects in the category “environmental challenges” went to Envi Capital and Sustenda.
