The Carl Silfvén SSE MBA scholarships are funded by the Carl Silfvén Foundation, based on the will of Carl Silfvén from 1914.  The scholarships cover the full tuition fee of SEK 495,000 for the SSE MBA Executive Format program.

“We are very proud that the Carl Silfvén Foundation offers these scholarships,” says Karin Wiström, Director SSE MBA, Stockholm School of Economics. “We are convinced that Catharina Frankander and Viktoria Karsberg will contribute to the program and bring best practices and state-of-the-art management knowledge back into their businesses and become leaders with a strategic and holistic understanding of management, working more efficiently in their organizations.”

"A life-changing learning experience"

Catharina Frankander is Brand Experience Manager at H&M Group Operations, with a Master degree in Architecture. She’s grateful for the many new opportunities the scholarship gives her.

“Thanks to the Carl Silfvén Foundation, I have been given the amazing opportunity to embark on a life-changing learning experience alongside my diverse group of talented, experienced classmates,” she says. “Bringing new insights and perspectives to my organization while building a solid platform in business will most definitely be a key success factor in my pursuit of being at the forefront of driving fashion’s change towards a better state.”

Viktoria Karsberg is the Vice President of Corporate Identity and Group Communications at SSAB AB, with a Bachelor of Arts with a Major in General and Comparative Literature.

“I am deeply honored to be given this opportunity to grow professionally as well as personally. I hope to develop my skills in business and leadership, and I look forward to interacting with and being inspired by the impressive group of participants and companies in the program. In return I hope to contribute with my previous experience and the knowledge that I have gained from working for a fossil-free future”, says Viktoria.
