New Leadership for the UKFSSE
Anette Elfving Ferm, (SSE, 1986-1990), took over as President of the UK Friends of SSE (UKFSSE), following the leadership of Håkan Gomér (SSE, 1968-1971). Håkan Gomér continues as an active member of the Board and a Trustee. Under his leadership, from 2018, the UKFSSE was formed, and strong collaboration between the organization and SSE was established. In addition, the UKFSSE, together with SSE, arranged a large number of both physical and online events, specifically targeted at SSE alumni in the UK, as well as facilitated charitable donations from the alumni in the UK to SSE. With the launch of UKFSSE in May 2018, Håkan’s vision was to align the organization with SSE’s overarching educational mission of FREE and offer alumni in the UK a combination of social and content-based career support. A high number and wide range of UK-based alumni have since participated in the various events organized by the UKFSSE.
Anette Elfving Ferm has served as an active member of the UKFSSE Board since its inception in 2018 and oversees the finances of the organization. Anette has a background in finance and currently works as the Chief Financial Officer of the Swedish School in London.
