Stockholms Grosshandelssocietet in new and unique partnership with SSE Business Lab
Stockholms Grosshandelssocietet is a foundation within Stockholms Borgerskap focusing on supporting entrepreneurs in the Stockholm area.
"It's fantastic to deepen the collaboration with SSE Business Lab since our historical partnership with Stockholm School of Economics started over 100 years ago. Together we are going to work for a common purpose, to help and support the young entrepreneurs in Stockholm," says Tommy Adamsson, chairman of the Stockholms Grosshandelssocietet.
Their annual grant to an entrepreneurial finalist within SSE Business Lab is one example of the work to support entrepreneurship in the greater Stockholm area. Beyond that, Grosshandelssocieteten also grant 30-50 travel stipends that are handed out to SSE students each year.
Supporting entrepreneurship
SSE Business Lab works continuously with inspiring and supporting exceptional entrepreneurs affiliated to SSE. Students and startup founders often struggle with making ends meet, the grants and stipends offered by Grosshandelssocieteten as part of Stockholms Borgerskap can have a huge impact on the lives of these individuals. The aim of the partnership is to create a wider reach, thus helping more students and founders.
"We were happy to kick off our partnership by involving Grosshandelssocieteten in our new program Ideate. The first Ideate program was a success and the hardworking students were given the opportunity to win a cash prize at the pitch competition finale, thanks to this new partnership" says Julia Delin, CEO, SSE Business Lab.
