Double Degree Program Structure

The first year is spent at Sciences Po in Paris studying one of the available programs at PSIA (Paris School of International Affairs). The second year is spent at SSE in Stockholm studying a MSc in Business & Management, Economics or Finance.

Year 1 - Courses at Sciences Po

The first year is spent at Sciences Po in Paris studying one of the available programs at PSIA (Paris School of International Affairs).

Year 2 - Courses at SSE

Economics

During the first semester, you take the four mandatory courses:

Advanced mathematics for economic analysis 7,5 ECTS
Advanced microeconomics 7,5 ECTS
Econometrics 7,5 ECTS
Advanced macroeconomics 7,5 ECTS

In the second semester, you take core elective courses and write the MSc thesis 30 ECTS. It is also possible to take some of the core elective courses during the fall semester. It is possible to transfer courses you have taken at Sciences Po to count as core elective courses at SSE. The transfer of courses must be approved by the SSE Program Director before your year at SSE.

Finance

During the first semester, you take the five mandatory courses:

Responsibility and Sustainability 1,5 ECTS
Accounting and Financial Statement Analysis 6 ECTS
Asset Pricing and Investments 7,5 ECTS
Corporate Finance 7,5 ECTS
Empirical Methods in Finance 7,5 ECTS

In the second semester, you take core elective courses (specialization-dependent) and write the MSc thesis 30 ECTS. It is also possible to take some of the core elective courses during the fall semester. It is possible to transfer courses you have taken at Sciences Po to count as core elective courses at SSE. The transfer of courses must be approved by the SSE Program Director before your year at SSE.

Business and Management

During the first semester, you take the four mandatory courses:

Business Creation and Development 7,5 ECTS
Advanced Strategic Management 7,5 ECTS
Operations Strategy 7,5 ECTS
Management Accounting and Control 7,5 ECTS

In the second semester, you write your thesis 30 ECTS and take the four mandatory courses:

Innovation and Management 7,5 ECTS
Brands and Communication 7,5 ECTS
Digital Transformation 7,5 ECTS
Leading change 7,5 ECTS

If you take the Project Management Concentration within your program at Sciences Po, it is possible to validate courses you have taken at Sciences Po in place of some mandatory courses. The validation of courses must be approved by the SSE Program Director before your year at SSE.
