Wallenberg International Fellows Program
The Wallenberg International Fellows Program (WIFP) is a highly selective scholarship program with the mission to prepare exceptionally qualified Master students with comprehensive interdisciplinary knowledge, applied experience and valuable international networking opportunities to follow the path of becoming responsible global leaders within the public or private business sector.
All SSE first-year MSc students (except for double degree students) are eligible to apply.
The program starts after the first year of the MSc program with a summer internship in Washington D.C. In recent years fellows have been awarded internships at Medtronic, Limiar Capital, The Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency, The Peterson Institute for International Economics, the Atlantic Institute, the International Finance Corporation, The World Bank, the World Resources Institute, and Agora Partnerships.
The internship is followed by an exchange semester in the Landegger Program in International Business Diplomacy at Georgetown University. Georgetown University is one of the world’s leading academic and research institutions, and the Landegger Program is part of the Walsh School of Foreign Service (SFS), a premier school of international affairs. The primary mission of the Landegger Program is to train students for work at the intersection of international public and private sector activities.
Each year up to three highly qualified SSE students are admitted to the Wallenberg International Fellows Program, and awarded with a generous scholarship covering tuition fees, flights, housing and provides a stipend for living expenses. The program also welcomes three students from Georgetown University to do a summer internship in Stockholm. More information is available at the Wallenberg International Fellows Program website.
