Mireia Giné
Mireia Giné is Professor and Head of the Financial Management Department at IESE Business School. She serves on the board of Bank Sabadell, one of the largest banks in Spain, and chairs the Remuneration Committee. Her research investigates how investors impact corporate governance and decision making through different channels: via voting, compensation contracts or mergers. She has received several internationally recognized awards such as the Brattle Prize and the Jerry Cohen Antitrust Award. Her research has been published in prestigious academic journals such as the Journal of Political Economy, the Journal of Finance and the Journal of Financial Economics among others, and various media including the Financial Times, The Economist, Bloomberg, and BBC.
