Kairong Xiao
Kairong Xiao is an assistant professor in finance at Columbia Business School. His research interests span financial intermediation, industrial organization, and political economy. His research papers have been published in top finance and economic journals, including the Journal of Finance, the Review of Financial Studies, and the Journal of Monetary Economics. He received numerous awards for research excellence, including the Rising Scholar Award and the runner-up of the Best Paper Award from the Review of Financial Studies, the SummerHaven Prize for the Best Paper from the Rodney White Conference at Wharton, the Cubist Systematic Strategies Award for Outstanding Research from the Western Finance Association, the Best Paper Award from the China International Conference in Finance, and the Pioneer Award from the Peak Initiative of FinTech Research.
