Knowledge deficit among consumers
May. 19, 2015
Half of consumers do not understand basic financial concepts such as interest rates and inflation according to a study performed by a group of researchers including Roine Vestman, Visiting Research Fellow at the Swedish House of Finance.
The Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (FI) are concerned about the situation. The study will be continued during 2015 and 2016 but some results are already published in a memorandum that can be found on the FI website.
