On the outer door to the bathrooms in the north wing of the third floor, Sveavägen 65, an enamel sign designed by Marie-Louise Ekaman reads the title of this work: "Toalett med Spegel" (2023, 2024, 2025). Inside the large accessibility toilet is a drawing of a mirror with a reflection, and texts written by the artist.
2023
The original drawing showed a woman's reflection with different silhouettes surrounding her and the text "Jag" in the bottom middle. The artist continued with her sketches and texts, and included an encouragement for visitors to continue doodling on the other bathroom wall. And so they did, students and visitors adding thier own scribbles and doodles. Ekman also wrote "Toalett med spegel" with black marker on the outside of the toilet door.
2024
During the summer of 2024 the painting was accidentally completely removed by cleaning staff. Marie-Louise Ekman came back and made a new, site specific and unique drawing. After re-drawing the bathroom in august 2024, Ekman wrote "FÖRSÖK INTE ATT" and "SUDDA UT MIG!!!" in speech bubbles coming from the person drawn as a reflection in the mirror (eng. transl. "Do not try to" and "erase me!!!"). By February 2025 someone had removed "INTE" ("not"). The artist visited the bathroom and added new text in February 2025, but didn't remark on the removed word ("inte").
The arrows and text continue on the right side wall, encouraging students and other visitors to draw their own images or write their own comments on that wall. Some students did doodle, write and draw, but as of April 1st 2025 the student scribbles were removed.
On the 19th of November 2024, on the occasion of the book release of the book Testamentet (Pirat Förlag), Marie-Louise Ekman added the text "Testamentet del II" with a black marker on on the door into the accessibility toilet.
2025
20th of February, 2025, Ekman continued to draw on the wall in the bathroom (the one on the right hand side when facing the sink): a person seen in profile, closing their eyes with a thought bubble showing another face in profile, seemingly choking on something or spitting, and the text "DET HÄR ÄR MITT RIKTIGA JAG!!!".
Marie-Lousie also wrote "SITT KVAR!!!!!" on the wall above the toilet and drew an arrow pointing towards the toilet and back to the text.
