Fazer and the future of chocolate

Fazer held a theme lecture for the Retail Management students on how the company is paving the way for a sustainable future, with chocolate today, and tomorrow.

Mats Liedholm, CEO Fazer Sweden AB, began the theme lecture by presenting the nordic FMCG company Fazer, a true part of Finnish heritage. The students were introduced to some of Fazers more than 80 consumer brands within the three main categories of confectionary, bakery and lifestyle goods, before Olle Ericsson, Senior Manager Business Development, took the stage.

Olle presented Fazers extensive work of mapping future possibilities, with the consumer and her benefits in center, how Fazer is working to understand how consumption will look tomorrow. Fazer also acknowledges that the way we produce and consume food has an impact on the environment, and in an increasingly volatile world, Fazer is working hard with innovation to foster a sustainable production and consumption.

Of course the students also had the chance to test some of the innovative products, a very appreciated part of the theme lecture.
