The program is designed to support and nourish young talents from Rosengård and other areas in Malmö and will take place in the summer of 2024. The initiative aims to strengthen Rosengård and its residents by creating more role models. 

MKB, along with partner companies Aspekta and law firm Delphi, looks forward to welcoming tomorrow's leaders to the Summer Camp in Malmö to build a more inclusive and sustainable future together. The partner companies contribute both financially and with their time. 

"Many young people in Rosengård lack role models in the business world. The Summer Camp initiative is a way to showcase the opportunities that exist. For us, Summer Camp is part of a new management concept, a long-term investment to uplift Rosengård and other vulnerable areas," says Marie Thelander Dellhag, CEO of MKB. 

Fostering future leaders

F1RST, an initiative started by the Daniel Sachs Foundation and the Stockholm School of Economics, sees an opportunity to attract and foster the next generation of leaders through this initiative. The camp targets motivated young men and women with good grades who have grown up and reside in vulnerable areas of Malmö. 

"The initiative demonstrates our commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion and providing young talents from various backgrounds with the tools and knowledge they need to become the leaders of tomorrow. A crucial part of the initiative is to offer young people more role models – successful individuals with whom they can identify and who inspire them to aspire to higher education," says Sabinor Haas Lönnroth, Program Director at F1RST.

"We at Delphi are both happy and proud of the opportunity to support the Summer Camp in Rosengård. For a long time, we have worked to increase diversity and equality in the legal industry and are involved in several projects that elevate youth in vulnerable areas in Malmö." 

The three-week-long program offers participants an insight into the career paths within the corporate world that higher education paves the way for. The content ranges from global challenges to business philosophy and creative writing, aiming to equip participants for future leadership roles. The ambition is to offer at least 20 young people a place. Participants will receive a salary during their time at F1RST Summer Camp. 

The responsible project group, with strong ties to both Rosengård and the Stockholm School of Economics, forms the hub of the camp's operations. Through local engagement and expertise, the goal is to create an environment where participants can identify and feel that their voices and experiences are heard.
