Artificial Intelligence at Axfood

Retail Management students in Axel Johnson Retail Club visited the Axfood Head Office in Central Stockholm for a workshop on Artificial Intelligence.

Valentin Romanov, Business Developer, and Erika Nyström, Data Scientist, held a presentation about Artificial Intelligence and its growing influence in the retail landscape. They also highlighted Axfood's AI integration by sharing examples of their work, illustrating how AI is currently being tested and used to enhance business processes and customer experiences. 

Students were then asked to come up with how AI could be used further to enhance customer interaction for GenZ and Millennials across four companies: Willy:s, Hemköp, Urban Deli and Apohem. Some of the suggestions presented by the students were development of chatbots, real-time in-store shopping recommendations and collaborations for data-sharing.
