Private Label at Coop
The afternoon begun with a presentation about Private Label at Coop, held by Daphne Perlmutter, Product Developer - Private Lable, and Fredrik Zenk, Head of Private Label. We talked about Coop's three private labels Coop, Extra, and Änglamark and the processes involved when a product goes from idea to a finished product on the shelf at the stores.
The students were then asked to come up with proposals on how Coop could expand their gluten free assortment within their private labels at a fair price to the consumer. Some of the suggestions presented by the students were to fill the gap of gluten-free options for ready-meals and snacks, to make the options that are already gluten-free more clear that they are, improve the online shopping experience by adding a filter where the consumer can filter out everything with gluten in it, and to open a Coop Gluten Free Bakery.
