Irina Gazizova is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Accounting, which she joined in September 2020. She holds a PhD in Business and Finance from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. She spent a term as a visiting PhD student at Tilburg University.
Irina is interested in the information flows between firms and stakeholders, its determinants, and consequences. Her current areas of work are financial reporting, disclosure, and corporate social responsibility (CSR). In one of the projects, she studies whether socially enforced increases in CSR performance create sufficient improvements in firms’ corporate culture for having a positive effect on financial reporting quality.
Irina’s teaching experience includes Introduction to Accounting and Financial Economics at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
