Department of Finance
The Department’s faculty regularly teaches in SSE's Bachelor and Master programs, in general, and the finance specializations, in particular. We are also involved in the MBA program and give courses in several Executive Education programs. Our highly regarded PhD program in Finance is integrated into the Stockholm Doctoral Program in Economics and is also a part of the Nordic Finance Network.
The Department’s research is both theoretical and empirical and covers the main areas of asset pricing and corporate finance. Indeed, our expertise lie within all major areas of finance, including banking, behavioral finance, corporate governance, derivatives, financial econometrics, household finance, international finance, market microstructure, real estate finance and venture capital & private equity.
