"It is impossible to understand Sweden without including sports". That was the concluding remark of the CSB Advisory Board meeting this week, and it is a sentiment that resonates with all of us. Sports permeate our society - from our star athletes to grassroots sports and the volunteer engagement that unites us as a nation. Despite an incredible "super summer" full of sporting achievements, Swedish sports face significant challenges. 

During the meeting, brilliant minds from Swedish sports gathered to discuss important future issues, including:

• Entrepreneurship in sports and how we can take care of the present at the same time
• How a unified narrative about Swedish sports can strengthen Sweden's global competitiveness
• The role of hybrid organizations 
• Sustainability
• Democratic governance within sports associations 

The Center for Sports & Business advisory board consists of senior managers from our partner sports. The board meets 2-3 times per year, helping the Center identify practically relevant research topics and supporting our outreach activities to foster innovative dialogues between academia and practice.
