Announcement of Doctoral Position/Scholarship in Business Administration with a Focus on Economic and Business History

The Institute for Economic and Business History Research (EHFF) at the Stockholm School of Economics is pleased to announce the availability of a funded doctoral position/scholarship in business administration, with specialization in economic and business history, starting in the fall of 2025.

The position covers four years (240 ECTS) and is based at the EHFF's facilities at the Stockholm School of Economics.

Eligibility

The doctoral position is open to candidates who hold a Master’s degree that meets the requirements for doctoral studies in business administration or economics at the Stockholm School of Economics. For details, please visit:

A background in economic history is considered an advantage. For applicants without a Bachelor's or Master's degree in economic history, a bridging course in the subject will be offered. In addition to formal qualifications, the selection process will assess the applicant's ability to successfully complete the doctoral program.

Since the doctoral coursework is conducted in English, strong proficiency in the language is required. For more information, see language requirements.

Personal qualities are also crucial for this position. We seek a qualified and motivated individual who can work independently as well as within a research team.
