Asian Barometer 2024: Trends in Swedish Views of China, India, and Japan

The Asian Barometer 2024 reports on trends in the Swedish public’s views of China, India, and Japan.
It follows up on the first report published in 2022, drawing on new data from the latest round of the SOM public opinion survey. Overall, the report finds only small changes in the Swedish public’s views of the three Asian countries. There continues to be largely negative views about China and Swedish cooperation with it, while views about Japan are contrastingly positive. Views of India remain mixed, but there is increased recognition of its international importance.
