Master students awarded for thesis on innovation
27 March, 2018
Piotr Bukanski and Tiago Enes wrote their masters thesis about "The Impact of M&A on Innovation: A European Perspective." Now they have been awarded third prize in a competiton for essays on innovation, commercialization and utilization organized by Entrepreneurship and Small Business Research Institute (ESBRI) and Sweden's innovation agency (Vinnova).
The jury’s reasoning:
Piotr Bukanski and Tiago Enes have written a solid thesis with a relevant literature review, as well as a well-founded and comprehensive empirical analysis. The paper describes how mergers and acquisitions affect companies, based on a comprehensive European database. It also describes various situations that can improve or deteriorate the prerequisites for innovation. Although there is a lot of literature in the field, this essay at the masters level has a scientific news value in relation to previous research.
