On September 27, Center for Retailing celebrated the 10 year anniversary for the bachelor program in Retail Management. This has been noted in media.

Congratulations to SITE Deputy Director Jesper Roine, who has been appointed as Adjunct Professor of Economics, especially the Economics of Inequality, at the Department of Economics at SSE from Oct 2018 to Sept 2020.

The third cohort of RAMP participants have started their foundation weeks. RAMP is SSE's general management program geared towards accelerating integration of university graduates who have recently arrived in Sweden.

Dr Claire Ingram Bogusz, a post-doctoral researcher at the House of Innovation, was jointly awarded the 2018 Börje Langefors prize for her doctoral dissertation, “Crowds, Coins and Communities: Digital Entrepreneuring in Emerging Financial Infrastructures”. The prize is awarded annually by SISA: the Swedish Academy for Information Systems.

The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has decided to award the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel 2018 to William D. Nordhaus, Yale University, New Haven, USA and Paul M. Romer, NYU Stern School of Business, New York, USA.

Torkel Strömsten has together with SSE colleague Svenne Junker received a research grant of 1,9 MSEK from Handelsbanken’s research foundation for research on global partnerships for sustainability. Marek Reuter (who will join SSE and Department of Accounting January 1 2019) will also be part of the research project.

The prize-winning entry for 2018 was written by Sandra Egelbäck Starud and Sara Nillroth, alumnae from the Bachelor Program in Retail Management, in competition with nearly 50 nominees.
