Krystal Zhao-Jansson is a PhD student at the House of Innovation within the Stockholm School of Economics. She is interested in new venture governance, particularly board dynamics and interactions in VC-backed innovative new ventures. Her research aims to investigate the impacts on venture strategic decision-making and venture performance from venture capital ownership heterogeneity and director interactions.
Before her PhD study, Krystal participated in a project that was held by Uppsala University and Handelsbanken. Her focus was on the relationship between initial public offering and technological innovation in Sweden.
Krystal holds a master’s degree in Accounting and Financial Management, a one-year master’s degree in Marketing Strategic Management from Uppsala University, and double bachelors’ degrees in Economics and Business Administration from Dalarna University.
